At Clean Slate Canine, my goal is to provide a positive, organized, and personalized training experience.
The following policies help ensure that every client receives the time, attention, and support they deserve.
Scheduling & Communication
Appointments are scheduled in advance and are reserved exclusively for you and your dog. Please arrive be time for all scheduled sessions. If you anticipate being late, please let me know as soon as possible. Late arrivals may reduce your scheduled training time to avoid delaying other clients.
Strategy Session
Your Strategy Session is a one-on-one consultation designed to understand your dog’s history, discuss your goals, and create a personalized training plan.
Payment is due at the time of booking.
Because your appointment time is reserved specifically for you, cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.
One complimentary reschedule is available with at least 24 hours' notice.
Clean Slate Foundations
Your private training package is designed to be completed consistently to maximize progress and maintain momentum.
A 30% deposit is due before your first session.
The remainder is due on the day of your first session.
Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in the session being forfeited.
Training packages are non-refundable once the first session has been completed.
Package sessions should be used within 6 months of purchase unless otherwise discussed.
Single Coaching Sessions
Payment is due before your scheduled appointment.
Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.
Clean Slate Intensive Programs
Because Intensive Programs require reserving multiple full training days exclusively for your dog, the following policy applies:
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your training dates.
The remaining balance is due on the first day of your program before training begins.
One complimentary reschedule is available with at least 7 days' notice, subject to availability.
Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the scheduled start date are responsible for the full program fee, as those training dates have been reserved and cannot typically be filled on short notice.
Once training has begun, the program is non-refundable.
Group Classes & Workshops
Payment is required at registration to reserve your spot.
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before class will receive a credit toward a future class.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend, are non-refundable.
Dogs must meet any prerequisites listed for the class to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Training Walks
Training Walks are intended as supplemental support for current training clients.
Payment is due at booking.
Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.
Refund Policy
Dog training is a collaborative process, and results depend on consistency, owner participation, and follow-through outside of scheduled sessions. For this reason, refunds are not provided for completed services or partially completed training programs.
If you have concerns during your training, please reach out. My goal is always to work with you to ensure you and your dog have the best possible experience.
Weather & Emergencies
In the event of severe weather, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, sessions may be rescheduled at no additional cost. Client safety and your dog's well-being are always the priority.
Training Results
Every dog learns at a different pace. While I provide individualized coaching and proven training methods, lasting success depends on consistency, practice, and follow-through outside of our sessions. My commitment is to give you the knowledge, skills, and support needed to build a lasting relationship with your dog. With that said, results cannot be guaranteed (and if they are, that’s a red flag).
